Bourjois Healthy Mix Review ♥

Hey girlies! So as day 4 of the 12 Days Of Blogmas I thought I'd do a review on an old but very hyped foundation. When it comes to Bourjois you may instantly think of the chocolate bronzer or healthy mix serum.. But today I'm going to talk to you about the normal Healthy Mix Foundation!

The foundation comes in the prettiest packaging! It has a nice red top and looks pretty! It comes with a pump, which I like. But most importantly, 1 pump doesn't give a masses of foundation! The shade I had was 53 'Light Beige'. Which was a really nice summer match, but maybe slightly too dark for the winter.

The consistency of the foundation is runny but on the thick side. It's not as runny as the Rimmel Lasting Perfection Foundation or L'Oreal True Match, so that's good. The coverage is about medium but buildable. I found myself using 1 pump all over my face and 1/2 a pump on any needed areas. Bourjois say "Give your skin a radiance boost and leave it looking flawless for up to 16 hours! Bourjois’ new Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix foundation is enriched with a fruit therapy formula to enhance your complexion.". I don't necessarily agree with the 16 hour last, in fact it struggled to last through 6 hours of school! But that may be down to me having oily skin, so on dryer skin, this may be perfect!

Onto a slightly controversial side, the foundation is said to have a 'fruity' scent. And it does! But sometimes it can be overwhelming, especially the first time you try it! So if you know your one who does NOT like scents, this may not be for you. But definitely go into Superdrug and test it on your hand for the shade and smell, you may not mind it! Also, their shade range isn't massive, I believe they have maybe 8 or 9 shades? Most of them are quite pale, so you may find it difficult to get your shade.

The foundation retails for £9.99, which I find slightly expensive for a drugstore foundation, but if your willing to spend that, definitely go for it!

10 Ways To Relax ♥

Yep, I get it. Being a teenager or just a woman in general is hard. In fact its exhausting at times! Trying to relax and stop stressing can be very difficult, so today I'm going to be sharing with you my top 10 tips to just let go!

1) Take a hot bubble bath. By putting some lovely herbal bubble bath in it can really slow down your thoughts and stress! So you can just go, ahh.

2) Eat healthy! I know, a McDonald's sounds about the thing you need right now. But its really fatty! Eating and drinking healthy refreshes and cleans your mind!

3) Get it of your chest. If there's something on your chest that is stopping you from relaxing, resolve it! Or if you can't, talk to someone, a friend, a best friend, whoever! If you don't get it off your chest it will be almost impossible to relax!

 4) Just breathe. I've found myself doing this a lot recently. Stop suffocating yourself in thoughts your creating. Take a few minutes and just breathe in and out slowly, this is the quickest and most effective relaxation tip in my opinion.

5) Have a laugh. Hey, you! Stop being so hard on yourself! Push out the bad and worrying thoughts and watch a comedy movie or some YouTube videos. Pushing the real world to the side for a few hours wont hurt!

6) Light some candles. This may seem random, but like the bubble bath, the scents refresh and slow down your thoughts, so you can relax, be happy and forget about everything!

7) Watch your favourite genre of movies. For me it would be rom-coms, they are the best to distract me and take my mind away from things. For you, you might enjoy action, comedy or even horror! Whatever you know you will enjoy.

8) Do some Yoga or Exercise. I know your probably reading this and thinking, yeah right! But even if its just doing a bit of stretching! It releases your stress and worries..

9) Have a hot drink. Whether it be tea, coffee or hot chocolate! Drinking something warm soothes your mind and relaxes you.

10) Retail Therapy. Yep, shopping. Shopping very very easily distracts you and you can enjoy time with friends or family!

Remember! Your not alone! Almost every teenager out there will be stressed at some stage in their life! Remember you will get through it.

Lush 'Santas' Lipscrub Review ♥

Hello loves! Today I'm coming to you with another review! Today, it is of the very popular Lush Lipscrubs!

I visited Lush for the first time a few weeks ago in the Meadow Hall, I was so excited to go in I couldn't even contain myself! Anyway, I was set to buy a 'Bubble-gum' Lipscrub (as they are the most hyped up). But, when I got to the Lipscrubs I felt slightly overwhelmed by the different scents and tastes, because they all just so good! I realised I really didn't like the scent or taste of the Bubble-gum one and decided to go with the 'Santa' one! I will probably get more Lipscrubs in the future, but I really wanted this one with it being limited edition for the Christmas time!

The 'Santa's' Lipscrub is Coca-Cola bottle flavoured.

Lush say "Scrub and Soften with Caster Sugar, Coconut Oil and extracts of Cherries and Dates - For kissable Christmas Lips!". The Lipscrub certainly does leave your lips feeling super soft and ready for any lip product. They get rid of any dead skin or just anything icky on your lips! Also, as the Lipscrubs are mainly made from Caster Sugar, you can simply lick it off once you are done with it, and it tastes so good!

The one thing I find slightly annoying about these is the fact that you can't do this on the go. You can't be out shopping, think your lips are feeling a bit dry and start rubbing this all over the place, it can look a bit strange with all the sugar particles on your lips, but you can certainly just go for it! I can totally say is that it is worth the money, it works and it leaves your lips feeling and looking one hundred times better. It gives you the perfect base for a lip balm or  lipstick. The taste and smell is amazing, they just seem 100% worth the money to me! Another thing I wished to mention is that the ladies at Lush are lovely, they are so sweet and make you feel so comfortable!

These are retailed at £5.50, so if you live near a Lush definitely go give these a look!

Sleek 'Blush By 3' Review ♥

Hello beauties! Nice to be blogging again! As some of you may be able to tell, my blog has had a little 'revamp'. I have a lot to talk to you guys about, but all that can wait for a separate post...♥

So today, I thought I would kick my blog back off by doing a review on a new blush palette I recently purchased! It is the Sleek 'Blush By 3' Palette! A lot of you are probably very familiar with this palette, it is very hyped up on Instagram, YouTube, Blogs, everywhere! Personally I was very controversial about purchasing it, and still I am not 100% sure if it was the wisest buy...

The palette I purchased is in the shade 'Lace' which is certainly the most hyped up. The palette itself is beautiful! Sleek packaging is so sleek and professional! When I first received this in the post, I was slightly taken a back by the, um, size. I'm not 100% sure why but I expected it to be bigger than what it was, and when I received it I was slightly disappointed.

Crochet is the orange shade on the left, it is certainly my least favourite. It is very orange and just does not suit my skin tone with me being pale, in fact it looks slightly ridiculous.
Guipure is probably my favourite blush of the 3, it is the pinky-gold shade in the middle. Guipure is most famous as a dupe for the NARS 'Orgasm' blush. It is gorgeous, but is very very shimmery!
Chantilly is probably my 2nd favourite blush. It is the deep pinky-red on the right. It is a very simple yet effective blush. I would say it is matte and would probably suit all skin tones!

Sleek say "The blush by 3 palette has been formulated with intense pigment yet the shades can be layered in order to achieve the required intensity". I certainly agree with the pigmentation! The blushes are super pigmented, which can be amazing! However, I do my makeup early in the morning, and sometimes do not pay masses of attention to how much product I have on my brush! This then leads to the disaster of cheeks that look like they have had tomato's smushed all over them! The blushes are not incredibly easy to blend out either, especially when there is too much on! The price is slightly overrated too, for a drugstore brand it is not bad, but considering I only use 2 of the 3 blushes it seems a slight waste of money.

If you are looking for a blush palette you may want to check these out! But be sure you will use all of the blushes to the full extent! If you visit your local Superdrug and take a look at the Sleek stand, you should be able to find these easily and swatch the testers. Personally, I found these a slight waste of money, however I may reach a different judgement in the future!

DIY: Eyeshadow Primer! ♥

Hey beauties!
So today I'm going to be showing you all how to make your own eyeshadow primer!
For those who are uncertain, a primer is a liquid you put all over your eyes to keep your eyeshadow on for longer and make it look bolder!

Before I start, I want to show you the importance of Eyeshadow Primer!

On the left is a black eyeshadow on its own. As you can see it is very sheer and would not last long!

On the right is the same black eyeshadow with the homemade primer under it! The difference is crazy! The primer makes it so much bolder!

Making the primer is so easy!
You will need the following;
Moisturiser
Foundation
Concealer
A small pot/container
A couple of cotton buds or something to stir with!

Step 1: The first thing you want to do is squeeze some of your moisturiser into your container!
You don't want to much or it will be far too runny!
Step 2: Next you want to pump around the same amount of foundation as moisturiser into your pot!
The idea is to get all of the ingredients even!
Step 3: Now you want to add the same amount of concealer to the rest of the mixture!
Lol, mine looks like poooo!;)

Step 4: MIX!!

And there you have it! Simple, right? Although it may not make your shadow last as long as the high end primers, it certainly is an amazing alternative for those who simply can't spend £20-£30 on a primer! (me;)

Thank you all so much for reading and supporting this blog!

Maybelline Baby Lips Review! ♥

Hey everyone! So today I'm going to be reviewing the Maybelline Baby Lips! Finally, after many different trips I managed to find them in a local boots! They were very cheekily hidden on the bottom row and if it wasn't for my mum pointing them out I would have totally missed them!

They were 3 for 2 so I picked up 3 for £5.98 instead of £8.97!

I got Hydrate, Peach Kiss, and Pink Punch!

Hydrate!

Hydrate is part of the spf family instead of the tints!

It does what it says and really hydrates the lips!

It smells a quite lemony, like lemon biscuits;)

It doesn't have any colour, so if you were looking for something more bold, this isn't for you!

Peach Kiss!
Peach Kiss is a part of the tint family, however it doesn't give a huge tint, but it adds a tad of sparkle to your lips!
It smells a lot like purple skittles and just really fruity and yummy!
If you were looking for something neutral, you will probably like this!

Pink Punch!
Pink punch is probably my favourite out of all 3.
Although this pic doesn't do it enough justice, it gives the most beautiful pink tint to your lips!
It smells exactly like Fanta Twist!
If I could recommend one to you all, it would be this one!

For just £2.99 you get a lot of product!
I definitely think they live up to their hype!
The only down side is the taste barely lasts!
I recommend you ALL pick up Pink Punch! It's personally my favourite! :)
I hope you all enjoyed reading this just as much as I enjoyed writing it! I also hope you found this useful if you have not already discovered Baby Lips!

My Every Day Make-Up Routine! ♥

Hey everyone! So I'm going to be showing you my every day make up look! It's pretty simple, but it's just what I've been loving to do recently!

Step 1: So the first thing I do is moisturise my face with my Johnsons Holiday Skin Facial Moisturiser! This gradually builds a light tan to your face and really hydrates the skin!

Step 2: The next thing I ALWAYS do is put some lip balm on! This just prevents foundation getting on your lips and prepares them for lipstick!

Step 3: For the actual makeup I start by mixing my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation with my Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation! I have to do this because one is too light and one is too dark!

I then blend this all over my face with my fingers as I feel it gives me the best control!

Step 4: Next I use the Garnier Roll On Concealer under my eyes and blend it in using my ring finger, as it has the softest touch.

Step 5: I then set everything with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder using my Sarah Ashton Powder Brush!

Step 6: I don't do this every day, but when I feel like it I fill in my brows using a brown eyeshadow and my Real Techniques Accent Brush!

Step 7: Now on to eyes! I start out by priming my eyes with my home made primer! I then take my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and apply either Foxy or Bootycall to the lid. Simple!

Step 8: To finish off the eyes I use the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara on my top and bottom lashes!

Step 9: Next I add a pop of colour to my cheeks by sweeping a touch of the Borjous Blush in 'Cendre De Rose Brune' across my cheek bones and on the apples of my cheeks by using my Models Own Powder Brush!

Step 10: Finally, I add some colour to my lips! My lip products change ALL the time! But recently I have been obsessed with MAC's Raspberry Swirl from the baking beauties collection!

So there you have it! I do my makup in an extremely strange order, its pretty simple and neutral but I love it! Thank you all so much for reading!

Hair Routine! Wet To Dry! ♥

Hi everyone! So I'm doing my hair routine from wet to dry! This is just what I do after washing my hair!

Step 1: The first thing I do is wash my hair with the Inecto Pure Coconut Shampoo! I like to use this because I love the smell, hehe!

Step 2: Next, I condition with the Inecto Pure Coconut Conditioner! As my hair is fairly dry I like to use a generous amount of this! (I leave it on for 5-10 minutes)

Step 3: After lightly towel drying my hair, I then use The Body Shops 'Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter'. This is specificly for dry hair so works well for me! I simply rub a medium sized amount into my wet hair focusing on the ends!

Step 4: If I have decided to blow dry my hair I will then add some of the John Frieda 'Frizz Ease Flawless Finishing Crème'. I use this to mute the frizz the hair dryer will have created!

If I have left my hair to air dry I will skip this step altogether!

*For some ridiculous reason I could not make this photo smaller*

Step 5: After Straightening my hair I will finish off by smoothing my hair with some hair styling wax or the 'Percy Reed No Oil Oil'

Honestly I haven't the slightest clue how to care for my hair but this just seems to work!Thank you all so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this and found it useful!
